Meet Alexandros

I wasn’t the kid who always had a camera.

Photography found me later — in the darkroom, during a b&w analog photography class at university. That’s when I realized it wasn’t the gear that drew me in. It was the process. The waiting. The reveal.

Since then, photography has become my way of noticing. Of listening without speaking. Of holding onto the kinds of moments we often miss — unless we’re really paying attention.

My name is Alexandros Aidonis. I live in Ioannina, and I’ve been photographing weddings, christenings, and families since 2015. I started out as a second shooter — learning to move quietly, to wait, to read the room without stepping into it.

I work in the background — listening with my lens, not orchestrating. Presence matters more than direction. What moves me isn’t perfection, but truth.

I grew up by the sea, but I’ve always been drawn to the stillness of the mountains. Wherever I am, though, it’s the light and the moment that matter most.

If that sounds like your kind of personI’d love to hear from you.
